Bristol local Patrick Fulkrod has been fly fishing since age ten; in 2026 Fulkrod marks his 20th year guiding anglers. A  graduate of the Western Rivers Professional Guide School, Fulkrod has been an Orvis-Endorsed Fly-Fishing Guide since 2007; an Orvis-Endorsed Guide of the Year finalist in 2012, 2013, and 2015; and the Orvis-Endorsed Guide of the Year in 2014. He’s also a pro staffer for ClackaCraft Drift Boats. Fulkrod’s favorite method to catch a trout is on a #20 midge. Fulkrod is the owner of the popular South Holston River Company , and he recently opened a fly shop in Piney Flats, TN.
